A few days ago the SPCA here had the first half of their yearly giant yard sale. I bought some yarn and some knitting needles (among other things) and decided to try knitting.
Well, that didn't pan out, but as of yesterday, I crochet! ;P
Not hats and scarves or things like that, but my brand new, barely-out-of-the-box amigurumi obsession (also started yesterday).
I've already made two cute little frogs and sent them off to N., who collects them like nobody's business. It started off as one, but this morning I decided that it would be lonely and made one half-size too. For reference, the big one's about 5" tall. I'm really hyped about my next project, which I will be starting right after I make a whopping huge pile of French Toast because I kinda skipped eating while making these and my stomach's going 'Feeeeeeeeeed Meeeeeeeee! Groooooooooooooooooowl!'. XP
So the stitches are a little weird in places (it's not anywhere near that obvious in person! >_>; ), but it's my first crochet-thing ever, so I think it turned out pretty good! :)
I can't wait to start in on [SECRET]!!! :D
